What is on it

The ones worth knowing

Not every shortcut. The handful that come up constantly when you are building or fixing a budget.

  1. Fill down in one keystroke, and fill the selection to the right.
  2. Jump to the edge of your data instead of scrolling.
  3. Select a column edge to edge, or the whole table at once.
  4. Format the number as currency.
  5. Type one value into every selected cell.
  6. Undo, then redo, without losing your place.
Each one is written out for both Windows and Mac, with a plain sentence saying what it actually does. SUM just means add these up.
Who it is for

Anyone who builds their own spreadsheets

If you keep your budget in Excel or Google Sheets and you have ever lost ten minutes scrolling to the bottom of a column, this saves you that ten minutes. You do not need to know formulas, and you do not need to be fast already.

Other free things

While you are here

Two more free pages, both the same idea. Something small you can use today rather than a system to adopt.

The Six Lines starter page, a whole planning method on one sheet of paper.

The Even Keel First-Action Kit, five pages for when your attention slips and the plan goes with it.
